GDUWS Site Layout
The GDUWS site is laid out with a centered content area on a green background. The color green of the background matches the green of the GDUWS logo and also the background color of them site menu on mouse over. The centered content area has a white background. Site text is in black.
The content area starting at the top left has the logo for the GDUWS. To the left of the logo on the top of the page is the header slide show. It features several images in a random pattern, described below.
Below the logo and slide show is the site menu. It contains the links for all the major pages of the site. The menu has black text on a light gray background. When the mouse is moved over individual buttons of menu the background changes to the color green of the GDUWS for that button.
Below the menu, taking up most of the width of the content area is the main content. To the right of the main page content and still below the menu is the announcement section. The background of the announcement section is the same shade of light gray as the background of the menu. This gives the announcement section contrast in the content area, but it only makes up a small part of the main content area.
At the bottom left of the main content area is one of two images, alternating on different pages. They are of a blind women with her assistance dog walking in a park, the other is of a blind man walking with his assistance dog. Both are illustrations and not photographs.
At the bottom of the page is the footer. The background of the footer is the same shade of light gray as the announcement section and the menu.

Memorial Page
On the memorial page there are pictures of several dogs. On the top of the memorial page there is a picture of a sunset over English Bay, mountains in the distance and the sky is a beautiful mix of warm red orange and yellow, the water is dark with evening.
Also on the memorial page is the picture of a dog statue in a garden. The statue is of a slender dog with ears back and in the seated but alert position. Trees are in the distance.
Eloise, a portrait of a guide dog
Pictured on the memorial page and on her own page is a portrait of Eloise, a black lab. The portrait shows her upper chest neck and head. She has a kind look about her. This portrait was done by Artist: Shirley Dickerson.
Riley Conger, let sleeping dogs lie
Shown on the memorial page on his own memorial page Riley is pictured sleeping on a couch with a pillow for his head and a sleeping mask for his eyes. He also has a sheet and blanket. Clearly leading a dogs life he has it good. Could be one of the cutest dog photos I have ever seen! Makes me want to get on that couch and cuddle up to him for a nap.
